Alien Grey:
SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3 emulates the C64, the C64DTV, the C128, the VIC20, almost all PET models, the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610). You can download it here: http://en.sourceforge.jp/projects/sfnet_vice-emu/downloads/releases/binaries/dingux/SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3.zip/

It works very well on the Dingoo A-380 and there's a way to make it run at resolution 400 x 240 pixels.  ;D

How to make it run at 400 x 240 pixels:

Make a text file and name it x64.cfg in your SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3 folder. Open x64.dge to start the emulator and press the select button to open the configuration menu.

To use resolution 400 x 240 you've got to change these settings:

Video settings -> Size settings

--- Code: ---Size settings

Double size
Double scan  *
Fullscreen  *

Fullscreen mode
Automatic
Custom  *

Custom resolution
Width 320
Height 240

Resolution limit mode
Off
Max  *
Fixed
--- End code ---

Note: Width 320 isn't a typo.

After changing the settings.

Settings management -> Save current settings to

Save the settings to the x64.cfg and quit the emulator.

Edit the x64.cfg with a text editor and change the SDLCustomWidth.

--- Code: ---SDLCustomWidth=400
--- End code ---

Start x64.dge in the SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3 folder and press the select button to open the configuration menu.

Settings management -> Load settings from

Load the settings from the x64.cfg with the SDL custom width changed to 400.

After loading the settings.

Settings management -> Save current settings

--- Code: ---Save settings on exit  *
--- End code ---

Note: This is an example how to change the resolution for the x64.dge. This has to be done for every every SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3 emulator. All you have to do is create the emulator cfg file and follow the steps above.

SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3 should now be running at resolution 400 x 240.  ;)

Thanks you once again Alien Grey for yet another great contribution to this forum!!!  Things like this are helping to keep the A380 Scene going!!!!!! ;D H.G.

Alien Grey:
I made some necessary changes to the explanation to change the resolution. This is the first time that I'm using this emulator and I really love it. The reason I wanted to use it is to play the Mario Bros II game. It's a port of the Nintendo Mario Bros multi screen (http://www.mariowiki.com/Mario_Bros._%28Game_%26_Watch%29) for the Commodore 64.

It's the only port of that game that is available and I'm glad that I could make it run on my Dingoo A-380 with SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3 with resolution 400 x 240 pixels.  :)

Big thanks to the SDLVICE-dingoo-2.3 developers for making this beautifull piece of software.  ;)
