I'm still waiting for a fixed GBA emulator version from slaanesh. His Dingoo A-380 build is a lot better than the current CFW GBA emulator. It runs most games at full speed with a 360 x 240 pixels aspect ratio scaler. The compatibility with GBA games is also a lot better.

Without the fixes it isn't possible to add support for this emulator to the CFW.  :(

The Dingoo A-380 CFW Version 2.11.08 is available for download.

The swap file is moved to the External MicroSD card in this version to improve the read/write times with the FinalBurn Alpha emulator. There's also an updated SDL VICE build with sound fix and a new UAE4All build with sound fix for the Dingoo A-380.

Lot's of Commodore love with this release.  :)

Thanks a lot to retrodd for his help with testing the new CFW and updated emulators.

I recently changed from V2.06.01 to  V2.11.08. Everything works fine, except the cfw snes emulator. Nothing happens, when clicking on a game. The normal snes emulator works, but sucks  ??? How can i fix this?

I'm going to have to make a new firmware image because a file in the firmware is corrupt and that's why CFW emulator doesn't work.  ???

In the mean time I'm going to remove the download link for the firmware. Unfortunately I can't remove it from Openhandhelds but I'm going to upload a fixed version very soon.

A new Dingoo A-380 CFW image is available for download.

Nothing new in Dingoo A-380 CFW V2.11.09 but I had to make a new image to fix a corrupt file that made it impossible to start the CFW Emulators Super Nintendo.

Thanks to Earl of Guynn for reporting this nasty issue really quick. I'm sorry and I hope that everything runs fine with this new CFW image.

I just grabbed a real a380 from a private seller on ebay and was excited to see people are still working on it, I've loaded up your 2.11 and just wanted to bump this thread and throw out a thank you to you Alien and every one else that is still around developing for this handheld.

Also I've been rocking Digimon World 3 on the psx4all, all i can say is awesome, it runs playable with sound glitches, but no sound is very playable.

Anyhow Thanks again! Ducky~

You're th3LuckyDuck if you did find a real Dingoo A-380.  ;)

I know about the sound glitches with PSX4All. I did try to fix this some time a go but didn't spend much time on it. The most important part for me was to have a replacement for the PSX4All version that came with the console. I give it another try when I've got the time and motivation to try to fix it.

So decieded finally to open my A380 today and swap new bigger sd card with new firmware, only problem is, my dingoo won't start again. Pressing reset, power or anything else, results in nothing. Even with old sd card, nothing happens, any suggestions, or should i take it to some electronic repair shop? Those things prolly charge more from repair than new dingoo would cost, but but. :'-(

Check the battery cables. Maybe you've got to solder them back on the board. It's very easy to solder the cables back on the board. A lot easier than having to replace the Dingoo A-380 speakers with PSP speakers.  ;D

Or maybe the battery no longer works.

Did you try to power it on with connecting it to a computer with the USB cable?

Yes did try to power on with computer cable. When i plug in headphones I can hear some quiet noise that usually happens when connecting headphones to some devices, so there must be atleast some electricity going on in the machine :D Gnn, so i doubt that it is not power issue, will open it again and check those cables later today.

edit: Also sent mail to some company that repairs radios, gaming consoles, televisions etc and they instantly replied that no, not handheld consoles.

Also have a look if the MicroSD card still makes good contact with the MicroSD slot. Maybe something got stuck in there like a tiny piece of paper from the sticker.

Updated the CFW Emulator Pack with a new PSX4All build (fix) and ScummVM 1.7.0.

Edit: Hmm... I screwed up. I forgot to add the PSX4All binary without sound. I also forgot to add the Old directory with the old (no source code) emulators that came with the console to the archive. It's now added to a new archive and the download link has been updated.

I made a good attempt at downloading the updated Psx but Firedrive seems to just want to load me up with popups and malware downloads instead of providing me the file lol.  If you get a chance could you provide an alternative link Mr. Grey.

  Thanks in advance ;)

All FireDrive download links in the OP are replaced with Google Drive download links. Everything should be available for download again. ;)

There's an updated CFW Super Nintendo emulator added to the Emulator Pack. It seems to run much smoother so check it out. :)

Dingoo A320 or Dingoo A-380?
