No idea, but i know there are programs out there that merges subs in the video.

If im not wrong, AnyVideoConverter does that.

to conclude this for all you with the same problem as me  :)

I have now found a converter how will chance a mkv file to an avi with the sub from it  8)

i use Freemake Video Converter

download link

best ever chance between different language, subs and control the size on the file

SONIC SHOCKER:
An MKV file is basically compressed file with its own resolution and bitrate instructions
and inside the video file can be anything.. mp4, avi, mpg.. and so on..
So i cant see the dingoo having the correct way to detect this..

So at the moment converting would be your best hope.. as renaming the file extension wont work.

bigdavebear:
MKV is just the container just as AVI is.

You can convert H264 content to a AVI, MP4 or MPG but then doing so usually means the file size gets slightly bigger and even so i dont think any Dingoos support the H264 codec.

So you would have to go convert them to a MPEG4 codec file.
