Slaanesh! Are you planning an update for Temper 080?
Some PCE CD games have scratchy sound, some hucard games run slow.

I would love to see an update on this one :)
Some of the games also had screen size issues ( some games are cut off left and right like in r-type)

I'm planning an update - which games are slow? Scratchy?

Please list so I can test!

Good news. :)

And can you also please fix the 6 button configuration?

Not all functions are selectable. Makes it hard to find a decent SF configuration.

Thanks for your work.

The following roms i have issues with:

Cotton - Fantastic Night Dreams [SCD][TGXCD1038][Success][1993][PCE][thx-1138-darkwater]
Asuka_120%_Maxima_Burning_Fest_(NTSC-J)_[NAPR-1049]
Winds_of_Thunder_(NTSC-J)_[HCD3039]
Override Hucard game

and all arcade card games run slow for example:
World_Heroes_2_(NTSC-J)_[HCD4063]

My settings: clock speed 400 Mhz (cant set higher, because my dingoo freezes)
scale screen widht:no (i think, when its not allowed, the games speed up a bit)
bios: syscard3

Slaanesh! With Temper you made this tiny Dingoo a unique handheld worldwide. Thank you!

I've made a bucket full of updates:

* Temper is now at 0.81 which improves some CD sound output.
* Speed should now be even better, I've made the default speed 336Mhz, most games run perfectly fine. CD games generally need more. The speed increase should help make games sound nicer.
* Some bug fixes to the Dingoo Native interface including improvements in sound sync. Still an issue with the occasional squawk from CD output
* Fixed another issue where by when exiting Temper, things got s-l-o-w.
* Fixed issue with load speed of CD games.
* Just pressing SELECT+SHOULDER_LEFT+SHOULDER_RIGHT and nothing else always activates the Menu, regardless of other configurations.

Great! Looking forward to test the new version. Does it also fix the screen size issue it had for some games like r-type?

Does this native A320 version of Temper have V-Sync option?

I haven't made an allowance for the medium resolution graphics (yet).

The screen rendering is integral to the low level video rendering, I may be able to do something with it.

I've made some additional fixes to the sound so that's looking hearing a lot nicer.
I think the improvements in 0.81 and the changes i've made will mean that meany games with sound issues should play/sound better now.

Does this native A320 version of Temper have V-Sync option?
There isn't a v-sync option built into the Dingoo A320 - though I know that one emulator has managed to achieve something like it.

Instead I'll see if I can do some hardware double buffering which should reduce screen tearing significantly.

I've added the scaled 352 pixel mode for games like R-Type which use it. Just use the "scale width" option from the menu to see the entire game screen.

Still working on the double buffer mode.

Then will release.

I know this is not about the temper versions of GPH handhelds but did they (GP2X and Wiz) have a v-sync option built in?

The GP2X and Wiz supports v-sync, so most likely yes.

Hi Slaneesh,
I noticed that the emulation slows down a bit when scale screen width is ON. Could you fix that in the next release?
You can check it with any PCE-CD shooters, just listen to the background music.
