*** What is it ***

A simple Ogg Vorbis player for Dingoo A320.
Just put your ogg-files in the same folder as GooPlayer.app.

For developers this is a great example on how to use OGG
on the Dingoo.

*** Problems and Limitations ***

Problems:
* Some files (very few from what I've seen) hangs the player

Limitations:
* No sorting
* No folder support
* No seeking

Although, none of those limitation are that hard to implement.

*** Controls ***

A - Play song
B - Not used (will be used to back out of folders later)
X - Pause
Y - Toggle play mode (repeat etc)

Triggers - Change volume

Start + Select - Exit

*** Credits ***

Programming:
Harteex

Design:

Graphics by:

EDIT:
Sorry forgot download link :)

EDIT 2:
It seems like there are some problems with file names containing non-english characters... so it seems like it's best to avoid those for now.

Heads up Harteex the new Dingoo A320 with no logo and no paw print locks up after playing a song and then you go to play another

There are a few number of songs that will always crash... try to select the second song directly and see if it crashes.
Also, if the song is invalid / or has non-english character, it could in some cases cause a crash, but I have fixed this one at least...
Try this and see if your crash is still there.

Dear Harteex,

as first a big thanks for your great GooPlayer. I have a some requests for future versions of your Dingoo native OS music Player:

1. Folders

I store all my music inside the default MUSIC folder so is it possible to switch to this folder or select this folder as default one. Cause I think it's bad to have two locations for music files present.

2. future music files supported filetypes

It would be great if your GooPlayer support the following filetypes:

  • native filetypes (MP3; WMA; APE; FLAC; WAV)
  • chiptune filetypes (NSF / NSFE; SPC / RSN; SID; YM; MGB; GYM; AMD; AHX; IT; KSS; HES; VGZ; SAP; VTX)
  • other filetypes (MP4; MIDI; Adlib)

3. skins and / or themes

It would be great to have more skins or themes present to apply them to the theme which is currently used.

best regards

About #1. Yes this is already fixed in the latest code (unreleased).

#2 Whenever I have time I'm working on getting more formats to work, especially MP3.

#3 A while ago I found a really nice (public domain) background which I'm going to use as an alternative skin, see this picture for a WIP: http://www.harteex.com/temp/alternative_theme.png

I might also look into playlist support at some point.

Edit: that reminds me... an option to hide empty folders would be good, in case you have folders with music GooPlayer doesn't support yet.
