Okay, first of all this WAS working before and nothing has changed... I am also using Slackware Linux 13.1 and have Dingux installed... Well when I'm in the normal firmware for some reason I CANNOT access my Dingoo, it would go straight to the charging and I could not mount it as a usb device, it was acting like it was connected to a charger and not a computer... Anyhow since it was working before and I use other usb storage devices all the time, I decided maybe it was just the firmware and I really wanted a custom firmware anyways so I decided to try and update it however it STILL has that problem and I can't finish the installation of the new firmware. Even if I try to flash the firmware to reinstall the dual-boot it doesn't think the dingoo is connected... Any ideas? Keep in mind though, this was working before and it just stopped working out of nowhere :S

Also, it was having this problem BEFORE I was trying to put on custom firmware... I found a guide to do it in a way that wouldn't require windows lol but to finish I have to access it as a usb device to put some files on it and sadly I can't.

My Dingoo is useless right now and I can't think of a way to fix it unless I can get it to connect to me pc :s

nvm guys, after many hours of searching I found two other people with that problem and it appeared their dingoo was actually bad... I also had a problem where the cable that came with my Dingoo had no capability to charge devices so I wonder if I just got mine from a crap vendor.. Just ordered a new one Smiley

Try some different cables, i had weird stuff happening too, sometimes it would not charge, sometimes i got no USB access... All fixed by a different cable. My Dingoo is fairly old (June 09), and i thought i had to buy a new one too until i tried all cables i could get my hands on. And one worked finally...
Might save you 80$... Grin

Tried different cables and different operating systems lol, none worked... Other usb storage devices work no problem, meh, this also worked before no problem at all and it does charge, but it just liked stopped out of nowhere. I already ordered the other one anyways BUUUT I'm still open to suggestions Tongue I wouldn't mind having two working Dingoos, maybe I could sell it cheap to a friend of mine that loves my Dingoo lol

hahaha sorry but when I said a friend of mine that loves my Dingoo I could only think "That's what she said" hahaha

Lol, canīt get enough of those jokes, i love playing with my Dingoo in the public, where everyone watches...  Grin

Bad thing about your Dingoo, maybe the contacts in the USB-slot are dirty/broken or something. You can at least update files via the SD card, so itīs not totally useless...
Keep us posted if you find a solution!  Smiley

It is totally useless now that I tried to do a firmware upgrade and have to put more files onto the dingoo itself to finish lol, now it just boots to the custom firmware splash screen and nothing. lol damnit... At least I can reuse my SD card and my other accessories Smiley so I'm spending less than when I first got it lol

Oh i see, too bad... Guess you havenīt got Dingux installed?
Now i wonder, when a firmware update goes wrong, i think you canīt access the USB storage anyways... Weird thing about the DIngux installer not working. Maybe itīs only a software/driver problem? Just saying, donīt give up!  Grin

No it stopped working before the update just randomly one day lol, I did the update via renaming a modded .hxf file renamed to a320.hxf, it worked but I need to connect via usb to finish, in the meantime it's useless lol, I do have Dingux but I was using the native firmware only for gameboy games because Dingux was giving problems with it so I swapped zimage files with one more stable and somehow that one and the original one didn't work anymore. Not a driver issue either I would assume because it didn't work on multiple systems as well as it was working on my main system before and just stopped after nothing was changed... I'm honestly suspecting I have a bad Dingoo usb port, idk
