I've got a $38.07 Kingston 16GB SDHC (Class 4) on order from http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16192, hopefully it works. I'd like to hear from anyone using a 16GB card, if there's any..

That is an SD card mate, won't work, you need either a MicroSD card with a Mini adapter or obviously a MiniSd card.

The former will be your best bet.

Oh shite. I knew I'd make a mistake with my order! So changed to http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7184 and this memory card instead https://store.9289.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3501. It's a bit smaller (8GB), but local supplier and free delivery. Had to cancel my memory card order with DX, got a credit now.

I've picked the right stuff this time, right?  Tongue

EDIT - What the heck happened to my post?  Somehow my text was up in the quote, sorry.

You have a microSD to miniSD adapter, right?  If not, you'll need one of those too.  I didn't see a micro to mini adapter included in the specs of the link you posted (some microSD cards include them, most don't anymore since miniSD is so unusual).  Otherwise though, you're good.

I went with a Class 6 8GB Kingston microSD card (plugged into a miniSD adaptor). Good miniSD cards are very hard to find cheap nowadays, thanks to the decrease in the number of devices that uses it anymore.

I understand that the Dingoo only uses usb 1.1.

Correct. For some reason the Dingoo can't handle USB 2.0.
Huh? If I look at the transfer speed to my Dingoo, I'm pretty sure it's USB 2.0. Maybe the older versions are USB 1.1?

Also, I'm using a 2GB Dane-Elec MicroSD card in a MicroSD>MiniSD adapter from Dealextreme. No idea what class the card is, I bought it a long time ago for my Nintendo DS.

Yeah that should be you. Only problem is that cheap Mini adapter I got a duff one and so have other people. When you get it if it doesn't work look at the back and make sure the pins ARE NOT all even. If there are and it doesn't work take a picture and explain to DX that is the problem, they should send you a replacement. I just threw mine out.

You might not run into any problems though, hopefully.

I'm going to order a second one from some where else then, just to be safe. Wouldn't want to receive my dingoo and not be able to install dingoux for a week because of a silly little adapter. Cheers!

i just wanted to check that i'm buying the right card type for using dingux and the various emulators etc

is this type exactly what i need for the a320?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-8GB-Micro-SD-HC/dp/B001CQT0X4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1276616737&sr=8-1

also, does it need to be a japan kingston card (the reason i ask is because jap cards were recommended for nintendoDS homebrew and the other kingstons wouldn't work properly)   I take it that's not the case with regards to the a320 ?

kingston cards are good, but you need a miniSD adapter, here's the ones i use:

didn't buy mine from them, but it is amazon, non-legit sellers are extremely rare
