Replace Dingoo A320 LCD(from ILI9338 to ILI9325)
« on: November 01, 2012, 03:51:07 am »
Firstly, my english is not good :)

Currently, the LCD's drive IC of Dingoo A320 is ILI9338 that have some blue color and brightness problem.
This is very very bad because I can't play game very long time.
So, i decide to replace it from original ILI9338 to ILI9325.
The result is the native system can't enter and can only run dingux and the color is very nice :)

If some body can tell me how to fix the native system problem, I will very appreciate. :)

Hi! :) Just a question... Where have you succeeded with finding the replacement screen? I've searched everywhere but it is always out of stock. Thanks for your reply and have a good day!

Hi and thanks for your reply. That's it, exactly what I needed! The problem is that I'm not from China and even trying to translate the page with Google Translate I couldn't understand if this seller sends the goods to Europe too, how much does postage cost and what kind of payments does he accept. I have to dig deeper into that page.
Please tell me if you know something more. Thanks and have a good day! :)

Hello again. I couldn't find any useful contact detail on that page: do you happen to have an e-mail address from that seller? Also, all the comments on that page are quite old (the most recent one are from 2010): have you just bought the screen from him? Thanks!

you have two ways to contact the seller:
1. install the QQ software and then contact the seller.
2. register an account from Taobao and ask some question with the seller in on-line.

the comment is very old, so you should see the trade record.
the last trade record is on 2012-11-26 15:23:37.

:)

Hello,
I still could not restore my dingoo,
unbrick tool says SDRAM error, after that device became unmounted in device manager.

somehow tried to restore it i broke the dingux loader too :(, and when i try to restore the dingux,
i stuck at command usbtool-win 1 zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9325 0x80600000

the only possibility to pass this screen is to choose zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9338, but then my dingoo turn on white screen, and there is nothing that i could do, cause my new screen is ili9325, and old was ili9338.

Any ideas what could i do?
will unbrick tool works with old screen? or i have to resolder sdram chip? or maybe there is some software fix?
