 :o MOTHER OF GOD

This is exactly what I've been hoping for. If this is really running some variation on Dingux or Linux it'll be an instant buy for me. As an Apple and iPhone guy, I was only reluctantly beginning to think about getting an Android device. I'd vastly prefer a fast device with a Dingux-like system.

Looks promising. Why do none of these devices offer analogue? Is it really that hard or expensive?

I have never heard of GCW.  Who are they? Is it a new company to the open handheld market? Google searching only turned up info about some kind of wrestling league or something.

That really looks like the perfect handheld. ?The dimensions are right for the very first time! Small size and a quality screen. Man those currently devices we got nowadays are absurdly huge. I don't get it. Otherwise I hope the the price range will be similar to the jxd601 and the cheap android handhelds which don't convince me at all. I guess it could move n64 easily.
I'd like to know the battery life though.

Who I pretend to lie?

I want it and I want it NOW!

It's DDUSA isn't it? Looks like he actually got that handheld produced. Glad to see it's coming to fruition for him and if this console is as good as it seems then you can put me down for one!

Oh Creatica, the resolution is 320x240

That's quite a poor resolution (even for that small screen). Otherwise fair enough for Psx games I guess, but I'm far from being impressed. Considering that they're aiming at a prince range of 100-110$ it's going to be a fierce turf war agaisnt JXD and Yinlips. Interesting times ahead.

Putting larger resolutions is a bad idea. Keep in mind bigger screen scaler takes more cpu cycles. 320x240 means emulators run with more fps.

Frankly, the 320x240 resolution would be perfectly fine for me if the LCD is of a little better quality than the one on the a320 when it comes to viewing angles and color accuracy. IIRC, most PS1 games play at 320x240 anyway. I think the system was capable of 640x480 but that resolution was rarely used. I'd rather have a screen close to the original resolution of the systems I'm emulating so that the handheld doesn't have to do a bunch of antialiasing, which always leads to muddy graphics in my opinion.

More technical information about the handheld. Later on they decide to actually dump the dual soc plans.

That is not true if the games are hardware-accelerated using a GPU (which will occur in the upcoming SDL 2.0).

Yes but

The console has Wi-Fi built in and is 802.11b/802.11g

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood something. Wifi? Internet? with a 320x240 resolution? Maybe it's not the best idea. I don't know...

Other than that, yes it looks great. If it could emulate PSX and N64 flawlessly, it's the full monty. I mean, we don't need anything else, do we? It's not like we're gonna have a Dreamcast or Gamecube emulator someday, anyway. I mean in the short time of course (at least in the next 5 years).
