Firmware Hacking

(1/3) > >>

Kronus:
I'm going to start hacking the Dingoo's current and latest firmware (1.1).

Could anyone give me ideas on what should I do and edit in the firmware?

Harteex:
It would be cool if the 1.10 or 1.11 firmware could support themes, as the hacked 1.03 firmware currently does.

Kronus:
Yes, of course, my CFW will be supporting external themes.  ;)

Any other ideas and options?

eule:
IŽd like an overclocked firmware, like those that were found on the chinese board once, but i never got them to work (someone had luck with these?).
And one more thing, dunno if possible though: If i use the Dingoo connected to TV, menu movement is much faster and more responsive than in "no-TV-mode". E.g. in the music section, going up and down can take some time.  Is that fixable by firmware hacking?  ;D

I don't think the tool I will use can fix that unfortunately, sorry, but I'm still open for more and more suggestions, I patched the firmware so you can use external themes and skins, more news coming up.
