Here i am!
Thank you for your effort and for the wlan.ko
I tried the two batches: with both of them i get errors "device not found", but TPSparkyRoot in the end told me "all changes have been removed excluding Root. Device should be rooted."
Wifipatch told me these messages:
"su is not a command"
"device not found"
"should have copied it to system/lib/modules/common/wlan.ko and chmoded"
"should be it *cross well everything* rebooting..."
"reboot is not a command"
"press a key to cointinue..."
and wifi still doesn't work
You don't have drivers installed for the device... (I had to try 3 different machines before one took it) If you plug the G19 and check device drivers you will find that it is just called a composite device with an error message.
Thats why adb is saying it can not find the device, as a result its not really rooting or installing the correct wifi adaptor.
To fix it... install PdaNet
http://junefabrics.com/android/ ...
It contains android generic drivers, so should, after installing allow the console to be plugged in correctly
(Just checked it on one of the machines I tried it on this morning and it connects after PdaNet is installed)
In device drivers it will then appear as Phone>Android interface Driver....
At that point you should be able to run the patch I put together and it work properly
(if it isn't reseting btw, it is;nt working)
instal PdaNet, then try the patch again and let me know what happens
