Ordered another OTG connector so will try that.  Maybe a dodgy connector.

I'm curious. It's been mentioned that this device has a really funky resolution(480x272). How bad is it really? Is there an example where would you notice a screen issue?

Ordered a new OTG cable.  Still no luck!

I think that mine must have been built by a one armed blind person suspended from a tree with his one arm with his legs tied together!

First TF card reader didn't work so I soldered a new one on.

I did however get some money back.  Long winded shall we say.  Dino Direct insisted on everything but a blood sample.

Then L/R buttons didn't work so I had to solder the buggers on properly.

Also another abnormality.  I plug it into my TV and the screen comes up but then TV displays message check cable signal but the picture stays on.

Before I throw the bloody thing in the bin can anyone just confirm that I don't need to install any drivers for the OTG to work?

Come back Dingoo all is forgiven!

Hi, Got my G16 today only took a week the UK result!

Followed q-berts guide with livesuite, rooted the device and removed all the emulators with titanium backup but every time I go to install a new emulator it gives me a message of "this is a system application" and never installs - am I missing something here?

After you removed them with titianium backup did you reboot? Reboot and try it again. Also there is a new rom by snakeman that gets rid of all the crap for you and fixes some other issues. It is located here:

My fault in a way.  I didn't test everything and thought it was best to rectify the problems rather then be out of pocket sending the item back to China at my own expense and then having to wait several weeks for them to replace the item if they decided it was broken.

Anyway.  Good news on the HDMI and OTG score.  Mini HDMI cable bought from Ebay kept giving a check cable error, typical of my luck.  I used a mini to standard adaptor, plugged in a standard HDMI cable and the error message now doesn't appear.

USB OTG was also a cable issue.  Bought 2 OTG cables of different design, the first 2 didn't work.  Popped into my local phone shop and bought another cable for a little more.  Now it works like a dream.  I now have my hub plugged into it and its working with mouse, keyboard and flash drive.

I removed all the default emulators and reinstalled the latest versions. But Game Manager isn't properly associating the emus with the correct roms. For example, MAME is displaying the N64 roms and FPse is displaying Genesis roms. However, the Genesis, GBA and SNES emus display the appropriate roms. Is there a way to get the emus to go to the folder where the corresponding roms are?
I know Game Manager isn't needed but I like having all the emulators in one place to choose from.

Get rid of Game Manager altogether.  It's not needed.

What updated roms are there to choose from? I've seen Snakeman's rom but is that it? Has the ICS rom been released yet?
