Opening the epsxe menu on Android without a phone menu button

Anyone have any idea how I can open the menu without a physical menu button on my phone? The virtual buttons don't work, they're just the home, back, and recent applications buttons, and none open the menu.

That's weird? The back button should do it. Something is definitely wrong here.
