Hi again,

Having sorted out mu bricked S5100 , i now have another problem.

Can now boot into Recovery by pressing Power+Menu , i can to "Apply update from sdcard"
This gets 1/4 way thru when it throws up the following errors:---

E:failed to find "cache" partition to mount at "/cache"

----wiping data...
E:format_volume: no MTD partition "userdata"
Formatting /cache....
E:format_volume: no MTD partition "cache"
Data wipe complete.
E:failed to find "cache" partition to mount at "/cache"
E:can't mount  /cache/recovery/log
E:cant open /cache/recovery/log
E:failed to find "cache" partition to mount at "/cache"

tried wipe/factory wipe etc.

Prob something simple to fix but spent ages fixing the brick problem now this....

Any help would be great , as im beginning to lose faith in this machine..

Have tried all wiping etc.

Any other ways to repair it?
Or am i best to just bin it?

Bit weird thou, tried everything i could think off and stuff you said.
Then thought maybe a dry joint, so took it apart , heated nand chip up a little after put flux on it .

Re soldered battery as it was a little weird looking on mb connection.

Then put it back together.
Seems to now work but when i installed a Update zip it always gives a Offset error.

Is this ok ?

Seems to work but after a while will randomly turn off.

It seems the nand was corrupt, or probably device has serious problem of overheating, which provoked that. Goog to know you solved it.
