There are a couple of factors you didn't include, regarding Dolphin on K1.
First, it's the quad-core version rather than the dual-core OCed one, meaning it will get (according to Dolphin devs) 30% to 70% boost.
Secondly, not all GameCube and Wii games use the same resources - I think that even playing Paper Mario is a wonderful achievement, and both of them are of the least demanding games for those consoles. Not to mention Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros., which aren't very demanding either.
Lastly, and most importantly, Dolphin on ARM is still a very young project. It can improve in many ways, and I'm guessing there can even be unofficial forks of it trading accuracy for speed for selected games. These improvements\regressions can boost the speed by literally hundreds of percents - while not making a better emulator, it makes for a better experience.
Now, for the OP - it looks like a Shield for people who liked the JXD look. Not my thing, especially since the Shield is already pretty cheap and is better in almost every way.
