Hello forum! Where should I buy a Yinlips YDPG18A?
« on: May 16, 2012, 02:35:41 AM »
Hi there. I'm new to the Dingoonity forum. My name is Christian (aka LastPucho) and I'm from Perú. Regards to you all! :)

I'd like to buy a Yinlips YDPG18A, you know, the latest one from Yinlips, with the capacitive screen. I've been reading that it's a better machine than its JXD counterpart: it has a real capacitive screen, the processors are a bit better/faster... and I suspect the d-pad might be a tad better also (four separate buttons instead of having the d-pad divided in two parts... I'd like a regular one-piece d-pad, but well, nothing is perfect).

I'd like some recommendations from you guys of where should I buy it from. Willgoo (http://www.willgoo.com/new-yinlips-ydpg18a-android23-capacitive-5points-touch-4g-p-246.html) seems a great site, and I've been reading they have a great customer support. On the other hand, Etronixmart (http://www.etronixmart.com/yinlips-ydpg18a-game-console-android23-capacitive-screen-4g-p-1009.html) is cheaper by almost $20.00. But I don't know... why would it be so cheap there?

So, any recommendations? Is Etronixmart a good, honest site to buy from? Should I order from Willgoo for their good customer support reputation?

And finally, to anyone already owning one... is the device already rooted, with the market properly installed, and the CPU set to a decent speed (like 1 Ghz) like the YDPG16 or will I have do it mysellf?

Thanks in advance!

EtronixMart charge an additional $23 for shipping, so it is not cheaper from there. Also, they have a bad reputation around these parts and have displayed zero customer service skills in the past.

Get it from WillGoo, they are active within these forums and do care about customer service.

I'll second the Willgoo recommendation. I recently ordered a JXD S5110 from them. There were some problems with the shipment and they were great about getting everything taken care of.

Thanks Frank_fjs and megaman. Yep, you guys are right... I just read a little more about Etronixmart, and doesn't seem to be a reliable site; there are complaints from many sources. And yeah, I saw the posts from Willgoo in this forum about the JXD S5110 and its not-so-capacitive screen. They were very responsible and supportive with their customers. I'll get mine from them. Thanks :).

I agree, these guys pf Willgoo are specializing in these kind of devices, and they have good customer service.
I don't accept PM messages. I am tired of them. Use forum to consult me anything.

Yep willgoo here too even if they are slightly more expensive, they ship out relatively quickly and have been helpful in the s5110 situation, and it sounds like they have been helpful in the past wrt Yinlips devices and obtaining base fw and requested updates.

(Just a note I ordered an s5110 from them essentially on a Monday morning with DHL shipping and DHL picked it up wednesday, and I had it in US by friday afternoon... the "free" shipping I can't speak of as this is the only order that I've placed with them so far...)

I just ordered a YDPG18A on Wilgoo and selected their middle-tier, 7-15 day shipping option with a tracking number ($6.) I will report back about my experience, but I have confidence in them thanks to the other people here on this forum.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll order my YDPG18A on Saturday from Willgoo, with the same shipment option as raygan (the most balanced option I think). I don't usually buy electronics online, but I'm pretty sure this will go better than my experience ordering a Pandora 3 years ago ;). I'll let you guys know how it goes once I order and receive my unit.

I'd happily go with Willgoo as recommended but they could be a little closer to the other guys in price  ;)  Two places at $139 inc shipping. Discount code for the JXD would have been great but wont work with this Yinlips and has expired anyway!

Thank you so much for your trust on Willgoo.

To let you guys know more about the shipping, we will introduce you some details about it.

Currently, there are three shipping ways in Willgoo.

The first one is FREE SHIPPING- with Hongkong air mail. No need to pay any extra shipping fee for this shipping way. Normally it takes about 15-20 business days to receive the item after delivery- From Hongkong. But there is no tracking number offered for this shipping way.

The second one is the "Hongkong register air mail"- tracking number offered. Yes, takes about 7-15 days after delivery.

The third one is "DHL". Usually it will take about 3-5/7 business days to receive the goods after delivery. Details shipping information can be found on DHL after provided tracking number.

Willgoo will arrange to ship out the goods the next day after customers place orders. This one days is for testing products and packing ect.

Willgoo will not arrange shipping during weekend. Thus, it will be some delay for orders placed in these times. But these orders will be send out on next Monday as soon as Willgoo People come back from weekend holiday. At the same time, your emails also can not be replied during this time. We sincerely apologize for this.

Willgoo, even though I didn't get my free case when I ordered my YDPG18A. Made up for it since I got it in like 3 business days.

EtronixMart is the devil.

Man, where in the world do you live that you got your order in 3 business days?! I assume you sprung for the DHL shipping. I'm waiting on mine to arrive, and every day that goes by makes me wish I'd paid the $20 for DHL rush shipping :-)
