Gamepad on Yinlips YDPG16

Does anybody know how to get any type of gamepad to work on this thing?

I have a USB OTG Cable and I tried plugging in my PS3 controller than I tried my PSOne than I tried a SNES Plug in USB Controller and nothing has responded.

I tried all of these using the gamepad app and than I tried them without it.

This device does not have bluetooth is that the issue? Do I need a dongle? I tested the cable and it works fine for external HDDs so I do not understand what the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And yes my Device is Fully Rooted with the Default Firmware installed.

WHICH default firmware have you installed??

on android 2.3 there is a thread somewhere (you need to transfer and load joydev.ko kernel module, etc.)
on android 4.0 somebody told us that it worked out of the box for him.

For me neither firmware worked.

I can take the same USB joystick and attach it to my Galaxy S3 and it works out of the box.
Any hints on what to try are welcome.

I think I might of found that thread "(you need to transfer and load joydev.ko kernel module, etc.)" a while back and I honestly do not understand what I am doing, any extra help would be awesome cause out of the box it supports almost nothing.

I seem to have the same problem with my Yinlips YDPG18A.
The joypad is working fine: tried it out on my PS3.
The Yinlips USB-port is working fine: i can connect my PC-keyboard.
BUT... I can't get the joypad to work.
Did you have any luck yet?

Android 2.3.4 donīt have support for Gaming devices such gamepads. there are few exceptions that drivers are included for another devices, but Yinlips donīt have this.

If you want to use a Joystick on Android 2.3.4, then I suggest to check one of these threads.
